Quicktime export

Questions on how to use Transform SWF.

Quicktime export

Postby marcone » Wed Mar 30, 2011 3:21 pm

Hi, is there a way to export an SWF to quicktime like the FlashIde does?

I've found a class named QuicktimeMovie that is able to: "Creates and initialises a QuicktimeMovie object using values encoded in the Flash binary format."

Ho can I use it?

My goal is to take xxxxx.swf and output xxxxxx.mov.

Thanks in advance. Great job!

You cannot do conversions from SWF to Quicktime with Transform. You can use the library to extract all the information but you will have to write the code to do the conversion. The Quicktime class is used to load and play quicktime movies. The command was part of Flash 5 (or perhaps even earlier) and I don't know whether it still works for newer versions of Quicktime.
